Summer Drama Camps 2026

Two-week immersive theatre camps designed to build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and stage presence. Students work together to create and perform a theatre piece, gaining hands-on experience both on stage and behind the scenes.

Each camp culminates in a live performance for family and friends on the final Friday.

Who These Camps Are For

• Ages 11–16
• Beginners welcome
• No previous theatre experience required
• Ideal for students who want to build confidence, creativity, and communication skills

About the Instructor – Soleil Mannion

Soleil Mannion brings over 25 years of experience in theatre and youth education. She completed three years of professional Speech and Drama training in London, England, and worked as a professional actor with theatre companies in the UK, including Black Horse Theatre Company in Manchester, performing Shakespeare, and Trismagistos Theatre Company in London, touring modern and contemporary plays.

Soleil has directed, produced, and taught drama in England, Vancouver Island, and Vancouver, working extensively with young people in schools and theatre programs. Her teaching approach is holistic and supportive, focusing on building confidence, strong voice projection, creativity, and self-expression. She is passionate about bringing out the unique strengths of each student and creating a safe, inspiring space where young people can truly shine.

Camp Offerings – Summer 2026

Comedy & Timing

June 29 – July 10, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

This camp focuses on scripted comedy, timing, physical comedy, and character development. Students work with funny scenes and short plays, learning how to deliver lines for maximum impact. Set and costume creation are included, ending with a lively comic performance.

Shakespeare on Stage

July 20 – July 31, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Students explore Shakespeare through voice, movement, character work, and storytelling. Emphasis is placed on understanding classical language, vocal projection, and ensemble work. Campers also help build sets and create costumes, leading to a final Shakespeare performance.

Drama & Stagecraft

August 10 – August 21, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Students work on several shorter dramatic pieces with small casts, allowing each actor meaningful stage time. Focus areas include character development, voice work, stage presence, and collaboration. The camp ends with a showcase of multiple short performances.

Tuition & Payment

💰 Early Bird: $850 (until March 15, 2026)
💰 Regular Tuition: $1,100

$50 non-refundable deposit required to secure a spot
